In celebration of Gucci’s 90th anniversary, the House will bring five of their talented craftsmen to San Francisco, where they will showcase their technique at custom-built workshops inside the Gucci store on November 1 – 3, 2011.
As the artisans assemble a selection of iconic Gucci handbags, customers will witness first-hand the meticulous attention to detail and superb craftsmanship involved in the production of every item in the Gucci leather goods collection.
For this special event, the hand crafted products will be available in exotic skins and exclusive colors, and can be personalized with hand-embossed monogramming.
In-Store demonstrations will take place:
Tuesday, November 1, 2011, from 11:00 to 8:00
Wednesday, November 2, 2011, from 11 to 5:00
Thursday, November 3, 2011, from 11:00 to 8:00
For further information about the artisan demonstrations, contact Gucci at (415) 392-2808.
During the special 3-day event, Gucci will also be hosting a private cocktail party to honor SFMOMA and the SF20 committee. Gucci was a key sponsor of the 21POP installation at SF20, and will donate a percentage of proceeds from the evening’s event to SFMOMA, furthering the House’s longstanding commitment to preservation of the arts.
