We are thrilled to see that Sotheby’s is arranging an online auction of handcrafted jewelry by legendary designer
Tony Duquette, to take place between August 18th and 30th, 2016.
Tony Duquette, the well celebrated name behind Elizabeth Arden’s spectacular Hawaiian penthouse and many celebrity mansions in Beverly Hills, extended his talent for interior design to art, architecture, and jewelry. He was the first American artist to host a single-artist show at the Louvre museum in Paris.
Sotheby’s has arranged 32 of his jewelry pieces for this special two-week long online auction as a tribute to Duquette.

This monkey-king brooch is beautifully crafted with silver detailing studded with tourmaline, pearls and citrine.
Pieces created with citrine, tourmaline and yellow gold. He styled these necklaces, brooches and earring sets more with semi-precious stones like moonstone, lapis lazuli, multi-colored quartz and chalcedony.
Two 18k gold necklaces embellished with roughly-cut precious stones. One necklace features a stunning tiger’s eye with coral beads; the other flaunts chunks of citrine aligned in a gold string. Tony also added a set of malachite and pearl brooch and earrings, which adds more glamour to this collection.
Tony Duquette’s innovative design skills had him infuse rough stones and shells into his gilded jewelry collection. Two of his neckpieces crafted in 18k gold are studded with uncultured stones like abalone and chalcedony, which he further accentuated with amtheyst and pearl detailing. To complement the abalone neckpieces, the designer crafted an amethyst and abalone brooch set on 18k gold base. He also added a beautiful bracelet studded with ametrine, citrine and freshwater pearls to complete his quest for blending in uncultured waste with precious stones.
Favoring his love for royal designs, Tony created a statement gemstone-studded ring collection embellished with stunning smoky quartz, citrine, cubic zirconia, emerald ,cultured pearl, amethyst, aquamarine and diamonds all set in 18k gold.
Tony designed a stunning Starburst collection assembled with blue topaz and diamonds inspired by celestial bodies. Set in 18k gold, the earring features blue topaz and brilliant-cut white diamonds. The set also features an aquamarine ring along with an apatite and diamond brooch paired with 18k drop earrings set with citrine, prasiolite and amethyst gemstones.
The designer crafted this stunning tourmaline and diamond bracelet encrusted in an 18k base to celebrate his love for the color pink. 18k gold tourmaline necklace and ear clips embellished with brilliant cut rubies, amethyst and white diamonds to compliment this beautiful bracelet.
