She’s in a Seychelles state of mind.
Fiji, Bali, Seychelles, and Kenya were on Donna Karan‘s travel itinerary last week after stopping off in San Francisco for the Nordstrom fashion show at the DeYoung.
Jim Shi from Fashion Week Daily reports on the event:
“The people here are so warm and so genuine,” Karan observed. Hosted by Nordstrom ”who underwrote the entire event and donated 100 percent of ticket sales to the museum ”and the museum’s junior committee, including chairperson Trevor Traina (with new fiancce Alexis Swanson in tow), and Kathryn Lasater and Allison Speer, the picture-perfect event brilliantly made use of the Herzog & de Meuron and Fong & Chan-designed space, situated against Golden Gate Park.
Joining Danielle Steel and Denise Hale for cocktails in the Hamon Observation Tower were a bevy of guests, many of whom wore pieces from Karan’s spring/summer collection, including Swanson, Tatiana Sorokko, Katie Traina, Jo Schuman, and Vanessa Carlton.
“This is her trench from the last collection,” Sorokko noted of her oversized coat. “You may not recognize it because I am wearing it inside out. You know me, wearing it the normal way would be too ordinary.”
Donna started her vacation after leaving San Francisco the next day.
