The CJM’s Family Gala 2019: Blue Jean Ball

The Contemporary Jewish Museum invites you to a Blue Jean Ball!

From their first appearance covering Gold Rush prospectors the Gold Rush, to cowpokes wearing them on the range of the Wild West, to their star-making turn on rock n’ roll concert stages, blue jeans are a defining symbol of American style. Join us to celebrate this American icon at a Blue Jean Ball inspired by Levi Strauss: A History of American Style, The CJM’s upcoming original exhibition exploring the Jewish immigrant story of Levi Strauss, the origins of the blue jean, and how they defined American style and became a worldwide phenomenon.

The Family Gala is a time for kids, parents, grandparents, and friends to come together for a night of celebration as The Museum transforms into a gold mining town, western frontier, and concert stage for performances, art-making, interactive games, and fun!

Your support as a sponsor of the Family Gala ensures that The CJM will continue to provide accessible family programming and arts education for over 20,000 families this year.
