The LAFACE Laboratories skincare collection is a favorite of ours and many of our friends. Made with vegan ingredients in formulations scientifically shown to have great results, the products are well-priced, feel luxurious, and most importantly, work!
Here are five reasons why LAFACE is one of the best skincare companies out there.
Ten Great Products
There are currently 10 products in the LAFACE collection, all of which contain ingredients that are hypoallergenic, vegan and not tested on animals. The company spent more than seven years creating the line, using research into the use of plant-based stem cells, natural SPF’s and peptides.
It’s hard to decide which of the products we like best, but it would probably be the C-Cell Regeneration Serum, which uses a Japanese vitamin C to diminish sun damage spots, boost collagen and (our favorite thing) tighten pores.
We’ve also heard great things about the Proteger Age Defying Primer for the way it gives the face an absolutely flawless look when wearing makeup.
Healing Skin… and Lives
LAFACE customer Kari Amundson’s impressive results
We recently tuned in to the Hallmark Channel’s “Home and Family Show” and saw a segment about a lovely woman named Kari Amundson who had survived several months of chemotherapy treatment for colon cancer. The chemicals had ravaged her skin, so she reached out to the show for advice. Beauty expert Kym Douglas recommended LAFACE.
After the company gave Amundson a free 6-month supply of its products, she emailed them with photos of the results. Her skin became smoother, splotchiness disappeared, and bags beneath her eyes got smaller. “Your products healed my skin,” she wrote. And she looks happier, too!
Jeffrey Alan Marks
Jeffrey Alan Marks and LAFACE Founder Lisa Alexander
Jeffrey Alan Marks, one of the nation’s most prominent (and most attractive!) interior designers, beloved TV personality, and author, is also the face for Triton, the LAFACE moisturizer created specifically for men. The aftershave/moisturizer combination is great because it doesn’t leave the skin shiny. And if Marks is using it, then you know it must be good because, let’s face it, he can do no wrong.
With “Rosemary for Remembrance”
LAFACE HPS with rosemary
“There’s rosemary, that’s for remembrance. Pray you, love, remember.” Shakespeare’s Ophelia had it right, rosemary has a wonderful impact on improving long term memory, as recent studies have shown.
But the herb’s medicinal qualities also extend to skincare. It is said to strengthen capillaries, tighten sagging, stimulate cell growth and treat acne. That’s why we love LAFACE Hydrating and Purifying Serum (also known as HPS) — rosemary is one of its main ingredients!
Based in San Francisco!
Lisa Alexander founded LAFACE in San Francisco
Finally, the last reason we love LAFACE is the company is based in San Francisco! The company was founded by Lisa Alexander, who comes from a fifth-generation agricultural family with deep roots in California history.
An expert in green design, organic products, sustainable businesses and day-to-day green living, Lisa also supports numerous charities in San Francisco and is well known on the social scene for her vibrant, good-natured personality, wicked sense of humor, and fabulous style. Now that LAFACE has become an international brand, we’re thrilled she’s kept the business in San Francisco!
