The Bay Area Arthritis Auxiliary and over 90 friends recently gathered for an elegant launch party at the Rotunda Restaurant at Neiman Marcus. Hosted by Alan Morrell, General Manager of Neiman Marcus, and Sharon Seto, Fashion Show Chair, the group discussed the important work of the Arthritis Foundation for the two million children and adults living with arthritis in Northern California. The organization's 2013 Benefit & Fashion Show at the Fairmont Hotel will feature New York designer Donald Deal, whose clients include Sharon Stone, Laura Linney, Donna Summers, and Vanessa Williams, among oyhers. Set for October 14, 2013 with festivities from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, the runway show & luncheon are partnered with a reception, silent auction and special "Shopping for a Cure" marketplace. Youth Honoree, 18-year-old Lily Shouldice, will speak about the debilitating effects of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, and the positive impact of the Arthritis Foundation on her life. The Italian artist, Paolo Troilo, recently debuted his first U.S. exhibit at Coup d'Etat, the most exceptional designer space in San Francisco. Sponsored by Testa Vineyards, the event brought together San Francisco tastemakers such as Jack Calhoun, Stephen Brady, Gary Friedman, Joy Bianchi, Anna Weinberg, Ken Fulk, and Jamie Finegold, among others. Zootopia was recently the talk of the town when it took over One Market to host Zootopia 2013, which went all the way in putting the "fun" into fundraiser. A new, eclectic crowd had a ball, and came sporting their rocktail attire -- glitter encrusted sunglasses, leather, fur, feathers, high heels, short dresses, black jeans, vintage rock tee shirts, tattoos, and high-style chic in Chanel, Missoni, and Dolce galore! And the band, CHOC'D, was magnificent!
