The legendary crooner Tony Bennet performed ‘I Left My Heart in San Francisco’ publicly for the first time at the (almost) equally legendary Venetian Room stage at Fairmont San Francisco in 1961.
Thanks to the initial vision of Belva Davis, Willie Brown Jr. and like-minded thinkers, for the past eight years the MoAD (Museum of African Diaspora) has enriched San Francisco’s cultural landscape by showcasing the art of people of African descent.
