We’re delighted to see that San Francisco’s Mid-Market district continues to take shape as a desirable new San Francisco neighborhood, as witnessed by the recent record-breaking sale of this condo at the Soma Grand.
Listed for $1,785,000, the condo was used by Adorean Boleancu as the location for the “SOMA ShowRise” benefit to raise money for the homeless in 2010. The one-night-only event raised over $10,000 for the Meals on Heels program of San Francisco Lighthouse. Co-hosted by Meals on Heels supporters Eileen Bourgade and Beth Schnitzer (of Spritz Marketing), with guests such as Willie Brown and Gayle Evans, the event not only raised money for the homeless, but also introduced many people to the neighborhood for the first time.
Now, with Twitter, One Kings Lane and Yammer taking office space just a block away, and various venture capital firms also situated nearby, the area has become a hub of activity for bright young tech-savvy business leaders.
