SFlashback: Tatiana Sorokko, 1992 | SFLUXE 1

In this week’s flashback, SFluxe goes to the early 1990s, when Tatiana Sorokko was modeling for Gianfranco Ferre‘s Christian Dior haute couture collections.

Tatiana credits the late Gianfranco, along with Yves Saint Laurent, for “making her” as a model. It was the legendary Saint Laurent who booked her for her first show, and Gianfranco Ferre for her second! Here we see Tatiana as the quintessential couture woman — regal, rich, and draped like a goddess.

Tatiana and Gianfranco remained great friends even after she ended her modeling career, and with her husband Serge, they often vacationed together in Capri (the photo below was taken at the Grand Hotel Quisisana Capri a few years ago.) Surely she will be thinking of him when she returns to Capri next weekend for the wedding of Wolfgang Puck and Gelila Assefa — such beautiful memories she must have of a life that ended quite too soon.
