Pretty Stuff to See, Pacific Heights

You only have until May 29th, 2006, to enjoy this year’s “San Francisco Decorator Showcase,” which is being held this time around at 3701 Washington Street.

The gorgeous 8,700 square foot Beax-Arts mansion features rooms by some of the Bay Area’s best designers. Kathryn Loosli Pritchett made a recent visit to the home and described it for readers of the Contra Costa Times.

SFluxe looks forward to seeing the carpet in the guest bedroom said to be inspired by a Chanel suit! The Robert Motherwell painting in the drawing room (pictured below) is another highlight of the tour.

If you find you cannot bear leaving this magificent home, you’ll be glad to know it’s currently for sale. The divine Olivia Hsu Decker of Decker Bullock in Marin has listed it for $15.5 million. SFluxe is just sick for not having bought it last year when it was offered for $8 million (the current owners have done extensive renovation, as pointed out by Socketsite.)

While in the ‘hood, you should also check out the “Pacific Heights Secret Garden Tour.” The tour will be held on May 13th from noon to 4:00 pm, beginning at 2513 Pierce Street. One of the gardens is featured in the Spring 2007 issue of “Better Homes and Gardens”! Music and light refreshments will be served, with proceeds (tickets are $25) going to the Victorian Alliance of San Francisco.

Elsewhere in Pacific Heights real estate, the SF Examiner is featuring a penthouse this weekend that’s located at 1999 Broadway, which was built in 1927. Dona Crowder, one of the top agents in San Francisco, has listed it for $2,295,000. This photo of the living room comes from the MLS.
