ROCK party at Epi Center MedSpa

Natalia Urrutia, Maria Barrios Ehmer, Francein Hansen, Fati Farmanfarmaian and Melodie Johnson

Princess Fati Farmanfarmaian recently hosted a private cocktail reception to raise awareness and funds for the cause she’s most passionate for, and whose board she sits on: Real Options For City Kids, or ROCK for short.

The private event sponsored by 7×7 Magazine and NBC Bay Area’s Touching Hearts furthered ROCK’s mission to nurture the healthy development of children of the Vistacion Valley and provide opportunities to those who might not otherwise have access. Guests enjoyed delectable cuisine from Oola Restaurant and Sushi Groove, mouth-watering chocolates from Richart, and libations from R&B Cellars, Winery Collective, and Phuket Beer.

Guests included SF business leaders and philanthropists such as Dave Costello, Craig Lipton, Adorean Boleancu, Francein Hansen and Melodie Johnson.

The cocktail reception was a prelude to ROCK’s Fourth Annual Funk out with ROCK at the Devil Lounge later that week on Saturday April 11 where party goers danced to the music of San Francisco’s funkiest band: Stymie & The Pimp Jones Luv Orchestra. Christina Marie, of SFLiveTV.com mc’ed the evening, wich included the highly anticipated and the highlight of the evening: the crowning of the Master of the FUNK at 12:30am.

A variety of amazing silent auction items at both events, ranging from a custom treatment package from the Epi Center MedSpa, credit acknowledgment on the upcoming NBC Bay Area show Touching Hearts, to the Ultimate Diva and the Get of the Doghouse packages, assisted ROCK in its goal to raise $300,000 for the 2009 fiscal year.
