Cindi Leive, Glamour magazine’s editor-in-chief, and Trendera founder Jane Buckingham, recently hosted a reception for Rashida Jones to celebrate her new column for Glamour.
Held in a beautiful garden setting at Buckingham’s Beverly Hills home, guests included Will McCormack, actresses such as Jenna Dewan, Retta, Amanda Garrigus and Cat Deeley, Nastygal founder Sophia Amoruso, designer Rachel Roy, Vanity Fair’s Krista Smith, stylist Brad Goreski, and Glamour publisher Connie Anne Phillips, among others, as well as Rashida’s mother, Peggy Lipton, and sister, Kenya Kinski.
“I remember reading a profile of Rashida in the Times, and she was talking about relationships in this incredibly, smart, funny, on-topic way,” Leive said. “I thought, ‘OK, this person needs to be writing for Glamour.'”
Rashida’s first piece for Glamour, “Why Is Everyone Getting Naked? Rashida Jones on the Pornification of Everything,” received massive amounts of reader support for the way she spoke out against the overwhelming vulgarity one sees in much of today’s pop culture media.
We love seeing Rashida not only on screen but in print, and look forward to more of her writing at Glamour!
