Teach For America (TFA), founded by Wendy Kopp, is an American non-profit organization that aims to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting high-achieving recent college graduates and professionals to teach for two or more years in low-income communities throughout the United States.

The organization aspires for these “corps members” to gain the insight and added commitment to tackle the root causes of America’s achievement gap throughout their lives.

Marcia Slackman, Jennifer Hickman, Deborah Peeples

So not only does Philanthropist carry some of the most fabulous collections in San Francisco, they help improve the quality of life of people, however they can, in the process. Bravo, Philanthropist!
