Paul Smith Opening

This month’s opening of the Paul Smith shop at 50 Geary Street has been an extraordinary success. Every time we visit, we’re impressed by how many shoppers are inside. It’s not surprising, given the fact that the place has something for everyone: womenswear, menswear, artwork, books, shoes, nicknacks, rare record albums.

At the Geary Street entrance, the shoe and accessories room is a great place to snoop for rare finds, with a cheerful decor that puts one in the mood for something creative and a little offbeat. The interior is inspired by great American interior designers such as Donald Judd, Paul Evans and Karl Springer. Mounted color panels channel the famous block colors used by Donald Judd, while the chairs and stools were created by Pace.

It’s a fun place to go shopping, with prices that won’t bankrupt you.

The opening party was a big hit too – packed, but fun!
