Gladys Perint Palmer, the Executive Director of Fashion at the Academy of Art University, has created another fantastic opportunity for local fashion students to have access to the world’s greatest designers.
Last year her students got to meet Alexander McQueen; this year it’s the woman that even McQueen has looked to for inspiration: Vivienne Westwood.
On March 4th Dame Vivienne Westwood will receive an Honorary Doctorate from the school in their auditorium at 74 New Montgomery.
The Academy of Art event is part of a month long series of Westwood-related happenings at the de Young, which is hosting the exhibit “Vivienne Westwood: 36 years in Fashion” from March 3rd to June 10th. Here are the dates for you to mark off on your calendar:
