The 2016 Olympics in Rio has kicked off, and the world is watching their top athletes don the gear of their sport. But one team in particular will be wearing the most high fashion designs ever to be seen at the Olympics.
So when Christian Louboutin, obviously renowned for his coveted shoe designs, visited Cuba, he decided to partner with French retailer Henry Tai to create a collection for Cuban Olympic athletes to don.
Tai described it as a “…celebratory outfit for the moment they turn back into humans, still in that glory moment… but heading back into the real world.”
The fitted and tailored blazers, interchangeable bottoms (slacks, shorts, and skirts), and either a loafer or high-top trainer for men or kitten-heeled sandal for women will be worn at all formal occasions. Spot them easily by looking for the Cuban flag on their left breast pocket.
