Carolina Herrera and Elle Magazine’s Joe Zee, along with California Pacific Medical Center trustees Sloan Barnett, Carol Bonnie, and Carolyn Chang, M.D., recently celebrated the opening of CH Carolina Herrera’s new San Francisco store in benefit of CPMC.
Guests explored the 4,520 square foot, 3-story space while enjoying cocktails and a special DJ performance by Chelsea Leyland.
Herrera, accompanied by her daughter, Patricia Lansing, graciously met and posed for photos with guests, many of whom were dressed in pieces from her collections. And as a delightful party treat, a wonderful artist named Sunny Gu was on the top floor sketching guests carrying the signature red CH bag.

CH Carolina Herrera encompasses ready-to-wear and accessories for women, men and children, and exudes a casual elegance and chic modernity that’s perfect for the San Francisco customer.
“San Francisco women have been wearing Carolina Herrera since I started. That’s why I love it,” she told me. “And I think the women look fabulous. Look at them. They’re all well dressed.”
Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer was one of the guests wearing Herrera’s designs. “She’s very international. Women now are very international,” Herrera said. “They’re active. They go everywhere. They travel. And they want to look well everywhere.”
Whether going to the tennis club or the Met Ball, Carolina Herrera has options for you to do just that!
A generous ten percent of the store’s sales proceeds through May 2014 are directed to Sutter Health’s California Pacific Medical Center.
CPMC trustee Dr. Carolyn Chang commented that, “It’s a really exciting time for the hospital now, and we’re pleased that Carolina Herrera is able to have a launch party for us.”
CPMC has begun construction on two new hospitals, one at Van Ness and Geary and the other at St. Lukes. “Fundraising is going to help the new hospital. It’s an exciting time.”
