We don’t follow sports, so the name Andre Iguodala (though well known to basketball fans) is new to us. But since recently moving to the Bay Area, the Golden State Warriors player has been making a name for himself in the world of fashion, and so he caught our attention!
Our friend Tony Bravo featured him in the Style section of the San Francisco Chronicle in January, and now Women’s Wear Daily is writing about him because he was just named as Men’s Style Director for Twice, an e-commerce platform for used clothing.
“Joining a revolutionary e-commerce platform has been a goal of mine since I moved to the Bay Area,” Igoudala said, “and I look forward to helping Twice fuel their tremendous growth.”
Fashion doesn’t normally come to mind when we think of the NBA, but Iguodala doesn’t dress like an ordinary NBA player, as you can see at his website, mindofai9.com, where he is shown wearing some of his favorite brands, such as Dior, Purple Label Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Neil Barrett, and 3.1 Phillip Lim, among others, styled for him by Kesha McLeod.
We’re looking forward to seeing what he has up his (John Varvatos) sleeve for Twice!
