The beautiful renovation of The Raphael House, which SFluxe wrote about last month, was just unveiled by Gavin Newsom, Sophie Azouaou and Father David Lowell at a ribbon cutting ceremony on the 12th.
It was so nice to see how much the children enjoyed the colorful new surroundings, which Sophie put together pro bono, with help from the Fremont Bank Foundation, Babcock & Brown, and the San Francisco Mart.
Gavin was so sweet — serving cake and hanging out with the kids. Who knows, maybe one of the children at Raphael House could grow up to become Mayor too! When the community comes together to improve lives of people in need, a new world of opportunity becomes available to them.
